WATCHDOG LINKED GURU APPOINTED INTO DIPLOMATIC SERVICE

Credible information reaching Daily Revelation says Lloyd Himaambo, said to be linked to Guerrilla journalism type media outlet, The Watchdog, has been appointed into the Diplomatic Service as Deputy Ambassador to Mozambique.

Aside from carrying various news pieces over the years, some credible and authentic and some questionable, the Watchdog is also remembered for relentlessly attacking president Sata and called him all sorts of names and at times reporting him dead. Sata was constantly labeled as “ailing dictator” through many write ups in the Watchdog.

When president Sata conducted a function, they would say “the ailing dictator peeped into the cameras”.

Himaambo is believed to have been in self exile in Germany but in August 2021, he appeared in a posed photograph with President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND media team at the President’s residence.

Key People said to have controlled the website back then were Himambo – Based in the United Kingdom as a law student at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge Town, while Clayson Hamasaka – Former Journalism Lecturer at Evelyn Hone College and now Media Director at State House, was once arrested during president Sata’s time over alleged links to the site.

Several Journalists have also reportedly been appointed to serve as Press Secretaries and other diplomats in Zambian embassies who include Julia Malunga, from the News Diggers, Speedwell Mupuchi, from The Mast and Bennie Mundando from a UPND online media, The Scoop.
