MPEZENI STOPPED FROM ATTENDING HH’s INAUGURATION BY UPND LEADERSHIP

By Staff Reporter

Paramount chief of the Ngoni people, Mpezeni was today stopped from attending President Hakainde Hichilema’s inauguration ceremony by the UPND leadership.

“Actually he is here in Lusaka, he was invited first by the former UPND chairperson for Eastern Province Thole, but when it came to the current leadership, they refused that,” sources told Daily Revelation. “There is a feeling in the UPND that he went too far with his opportunism with the PF, and that even from a moral standing it was not going to be right for him to attend particularly that he rejected them from entering there. So he is home as we speak.”

I salute UPND for chasing Ngoni chief from entering President HH inauguration ceremony. I come from Eastern Province and a typical cewa man. Ananyanya Akulu awa oso khalira khala.

The chasing of the Paramount Chief was totally un called for.
UPND will not be in power for ever unlike the Ngoni Paramount Chiefdom.Remember Paramount Chief Mpezeni has a number of subordinate Chiefs in the Province who can make UPND HAVE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE f
Two wrongs do nor make a right and like President HH SAID THERE should be forgiveness in the Nation.

Charles my brother or my causin. You know from way back in the political history of Zambia that the traditional leaders are mothers and fathers of every citizen of this country. This means that our chieves must try by all means to embrace everyone no matter what tribe that person is. Bambuya ba Mpezeni went too far in politics such that many other chieves noticed including naiwe wine Charles. This is what comes out when you put aside your dignity because of gifts and gifts and gift and gifts.

Yes two wrongs don’t make a right but mpezeni is a senior chief who ougtt to know that what he was doing to HH was wrong . You are condemning people who chased mpezeni but you didn’t condemn mpezeni chasing HH . . Chitimukulu was doing the same. Tell him to emulate Gawa Undi and litunga

Iwe na iwe behaviour ya chief mpezini is not good they are so many chiefs in this country they don’t behave like him

That was very good.mpezene and his opportunism are not something to go by..He exhibited extreme ignorance of the happenings in the country such that he forgot what contitute his titlle. He cant distinguish bribes from the welfare of his nation..His die hard supporters shoul realise that UPND is now in the government and not opposition.its PF that is in the reverse.

  • FuManchu , August 24, 2021 @ 7:34 pm

Why would a Nkosi yama Nkosi reduce himself to a party cadre? Blame should be placed on unkind politicians who weaken the esteem of these traditional institutions with “enticing” favors and ‘gifts!’ Just think of the embarrassment of undertaking a long journey to attend an important function only to end up holed indoors!

It’s so embarrassing for HRH to be chased like that, it might be he was aware and new the rigging gimmick. That could have made him talk like that. Lesson to other chiefs. Wages of sin is…….

  • Prince nonde , August 25, 2021 @ 4:02 am

But I personally do not see a point of chasing the paramount chief, like it stand hh says he is a leader of the people but by chasing the chief that not what the leader is claiming to be looks like.

But anyways we still have more time to wait and see other wise our hope is high for bally.
And we trust that this won’t go much further because it would bring what is called tribalism at the end of the day why because the ngoni people are also watching and don’t forget that they had voted to but chasing there chief night be unbelievable for them.

My appeal to the President is to educate the chiefs to be non partisan.

Chiefs’ involvement in politics is very dangerous for democracy.

Do not pay evil for evil. That is the paramount Chief. HH is talking of forgiveness and embracing all but the leadership is doing the opposite. Let us forgive and accommodate others. We will need them one day.

  • Vincent Miti , August 25, 2021 @ 9:55 pm

Oohhh, that was excellent .Mpezeni desived such and more despline cos he doesn’t respect himself as a chief.in Eastern province we have a lot Big chiefs like GAWA,they don’t reach a point of becoming caders
