The Swedish Embassy in Lusaka must apologize for pushing the “demonic cause of homosexuality in Zambia.”
A passionate and throng of Christians marched in Lusaka today and held a church service at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross to underline that Zambia is a christian nation.
As some christians stood picketing outside the Swedish Embassy and the European Union, inside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Director of Ceremony Rev. Gibson Nyirenda told the church to fear no mortal man as “politicians come and go.”
Committee Member of the organising committee, Jonas Nyirenda said Sweden owes the Zambian people an apology for advocating for vices of LGBTQ in a Christian nation.
“Zambia says NO to LGBTQ,” “Zambia is a christian nation” and “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,” read some of the banners.
Rabbi Chiluba of the Messianic Christians said promoting gays would be tantamount to violating God’s image who made man, male and female.
Rabbi Chiluba warned against anyone in the government over what he said selling the country’s birthright just so that western aid flows into the country.
He said there is need to refuse to compromise our values as a Christian nation as God who provides for the Sparrow, would provide for Zambia if it came to a withholding of aid by western nations.
