Late Dr Kenneth Kaunda’s second born child, Dr Waza will be buried at the former president’s residence in State Lodge, Lusaka.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malawi Colonel Panji Kaunda told Daily Revelation yesterday that his brother died in the University Teaching Hospital last Monday following a long illness.
One of the family members said Dr Waza was being treated in the UTH intensive care unit, over some illnesses, including battling with diabetes for a long time.
Col Panji said the funeral house was in Jesmondine, Lusaka, and that the Church service for the late Dr Waza will be held at St Ignatius Catholic Church in Rhodespark area tomorrow, with burial to follow at the same site where his late mother, Mama Betty Kaunda, at the family’s State Lodge residence.
“The funeral is being handled by the family but everybody is welcome to help,” said Col Panji, adding that the late Dr Waza is survived by a wife and five children.
