These 3 years have been the worst – Lungu … We never experienced this loadshedding during my time

Former president Edgar Lungu says the three years of the UPND have been the most difficult years for the people of Zambia.

And Lungu said his reign was better than President Hakainde Hichilema’s as the country never experienced challenging situations like the prolonged load shedding among other things.

Speaking when the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) leaders attended the thanksgiving service at Trinity Embassy Church in Ndola, Lungu said the PF Government was far much better than the UPND.

“The past months in the country have been very difficult for all of us. Load shedding, lack of food has been a challenge. I am saying this because I know the challenges being faced in this country. If I say the truth, you will think I am boasting, you will think I am trying to compare with my colleagues. We have to compare these things, even in school, the teachers say compare and contrast,” said Lungu.

UKA presidents joined worshippers in Ndola at Trinity Embassy Church International in Mushili for a Special Prayer Service hosted by the Pastors Fellowship.

Those in attendance were United Liberal Party leader Sakwiba Sikota, Citizens First leader Harry Kalaba, New Heritage Party Chishala Kateka and Apostle Dan Pule.

Others were Wright Musoma, Peter Chanda and the UKA Secretary General Lucky Mulusa.

Also present at the special prayer service were pastors drawn from all the Copperbelt towns who are members of the Copperbelt pastors fellowship.

The UKA leaders were accompanied by various senior political party officials in the alliance.

Before the special service, the alliance leaders  handed over a borehole which they have contributed meant to aid the community and surrounding areas experiencing erratic water supply.
