Zambia’s trade and investment environment is readily available, President Hakainde Hichilema has told UK parliamentarians and businesses.
In order for us to set our Country on the right path of social and economic development, we have continued placing emphasis on economic diplomacy in several of our meetings here in the UK.
“During our address at the Houses of Parliament, we spoke to members of the House of Commons, House of Lords and UK businesses. We illustrated how Zambia’s trade and investment environment is readily available with much emphasis on joint ventures,” President Hichilema stated on his Facebook page, saying he attended the meeting following an invitation from the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy Lawrence Robertson MP.
He stated that he joined the Minister for Africa from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Vicky Ford, MP with her team here in London, to explore ways of improved trade links with the United Kingdom.
“Fellow citizens, our job is to secure your livelihoods today, tomorrow and for future generations. We promise that we will deliver on these promises,” stated President Hichilema. “Zambia will be great for all and together we shall make it happen.”
