President Hakainde Hichilema has continued running government in the same manner PF was doing it, says Lupososhi member of parliament (PF) Emmanuel Mpankata.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Mpankata said President Hichilema condemned the appointments of district commissioners as a waste of resources, charging that even those who were appointed then were PF cadres, but he has done the same by appointing UPND cadres to those same civil service positions.
“And they hid the names of those who were appointed, whatever we will know them. Obviously they will be working with people so they will be known. They were better off announcing all the names, than through being leaked. What is confidential with the names when they will be serving the public?” Mpankata asked. “”They were laughing at us that we were appointing cadres. And whatever you call them, whether professional cadres or political hooligans, they are cadres. Every political party has those hooligans, like in the MMD they had the Nakawala’s”
Mpankata said it seems President Hichilema is someone who just liked talking with very little substance in terms of how he was running affairs when compared to past administrations.
“Nothing has changed. Government will continue being run the same way. Only people change but the system remains the same,” said Mpankata.
