Citizens First leader Harry Kalaba was today among scores of mourners that gathered at a Catholic Church in Mansa to celebrate the life of his grandmother aged 102.
Born in 1923, Thabitha Mwetwe has left behind four children, twenty grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Mwetwe commonly known as Bana Nyemba died on August 23, 2025 and was put to rest today.
Speaking on behalf of the grandchildren, Kalaba thanked mourners for turning out in numbers to put to rest his grandmother with dignity.
He also thanked the Catholic Church and other community members for taking care of his grandmother until she died.
The CF leader also thanked his party’s provincial leadership for standing with him.
Another mourner who gave the life history described the late as a kind hearted person who embraced everyone.
He said the late considered everyone who visited her home as her child.
