Chilubi member of parliament (PF) Mulenga Fube has inserted former president Edgar Lungu’s name into Mayungo Simushi’s argument that the top in the previous PF administration was highly rotten with corruption.
In his submission, Sikongo member of parliament Simushi said that the level of corruption Zambians saw in the previous regime was so alarming as it started from the very top which he said was highly rotten with corruption. Simushi made the statement without mentioning anyone.
But rising on a point of order, Fube asked if the member of parliament was in order to insinuate that the 6th president was involved in corruption when he was not in the house to defend himself.
But in response, Simushi said he never mentioned any person, saying he simply said that corruption started with the head and that the “head is big.”
He said when people were amassing wealth, they were eating alone and will be followed alone, and should not use their tribe or region because they did not eat with people from their regions.
But Lumezi member of parliament (Independent) Munir Zulu said he did not support the allocation to the ACC because he considered them corrupt.
