I would rather be home than be used by a political hand, says Ministry of Education permanent secretary Noriana Muneku.
Speaking when she appeared before the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee on the Auditor General’s report ending December 31, 2020, Muneku said she would discharged her functions professionally, as she has done even from her previous spheres of life.
She said she was cognizant of the fact governments change, and that hers was to operate professionally, without political considerations.
She said she would rather be home than be used by a political hand in the duties.
The committee heard that 38 officers in the Ministry were on payroll irregularly, a matter Provincial Education Officer Dr Sinkamba said had been reported to the police
