‎HH has nothing to do with Lungu’s burial – Hamasaka‎

‎State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says President Hakainde Hichilema has nothing to do with the death and burial of the late former president Edgar Lungu.

‎And Hamasaka said Zambians will decide whether President Hakainde Hichilema is popular or not popular.

‎Last week Socialist party leader Dr Fred M’membe was arrested for figuratively asking President Hichilema if he wanted to eat the body of Lungu.

‎This was in relation to the burial impasse between the family of Lungu and the government.

‎In an interview with Daily Revelation on Saturday, Hamasaka said President Hichilema had nothing to do with the burial of Lungu, adding that if anything, he wanted the matter resolved as quickly as possible.

‎“So now you, you are a journalis, how is HH stopping the Lungu family from those things?  I am asking you, you are also a journalist. How is President Hichilema stopping the burial of Edgar Lungu? Anyway, the point is President Hichilema has nothing to do with the death and the burial of Edgar Lungu,” Hamasaka said. “He has nothing to do with that, nothing.  But, in fact even, I can show you that President Hichilema would want to have this whole thing resolved as soon as possible.”

‎Hamasaka asked Dr M’membe to tell President Hichilema what he wanted him to do over Lungu’s burial.

‎“Me, I am telling you, that President Hichilema has nothing to do with the burial of the late president. So, ask the person who sent you to ask those questions,” Hamasaka said. “I don’t know if it is Fred M’membe to tell us how he wants…okay look ask them to tell us what they want HH to do?.”

‎On the forthcoming general August 13 general elections, Hamasaka said the only people who were going to tell if President Hichilema was still popular or not were the Zambian voters.

‎ “Popularity or Unpopularity of the President is based on the Zambian voters. So there, l can’t comment.  Let us wait for the Zambian voters,” said Hamasaka.
