My government will not be governed by tribe and region, says NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.
And Mundubile has assured President Hakainde Hichilema that he would treat him with love, and would not even stop him from going to hospital in the same manner it happened with late former president Edgar Lungu.
Addressing a rally in Petauke today, Mundubile said his government would be founded on love and unity.
“My government will not be governed by tribe and region … our tribe is Zambia,” he said.
He said for those who were seeking employment, they need not to be on the database in the manner it was happening now.
Mundubile also said that artisanal licences will be issued at district level, with full support from government. He said no one would chase the small scale miners with guns because it was their gold.
“We shall introduce tractors in camps where you get FISP,” he said.
He said his administration would also build veterinary hospitals.
Mundubile said cotton farmers shall be put into cooperatives and receive inputs, in the same manner those who planted maize did.
He said tobacco farmers were crying because the price had gone down, but during such times the government would secure the produce.
Mundubile further promised to complete the construction of 40 health centres that were started during the tenure of fugitive former Petauke-Central member of parliament Emmanuel JJ Banda.
He questioned the 42,000 health workers which President Hakainde Hichilema boasted about where when there were no doctors in hospitals.
Mundubile promised to continue with the Social Cash Transfer programme, and that every body would be considered in the Cash for Work programme, which he said was only benefiting UPND cadres.
Mundubile also repeated his assurance to his “big brother” President Hakainde Hichilema that he would treat him well and would not even stop him from going to hospital.
“We want to restore love and unity,” Mundubile said.
He said under his administration, each farmer would get a bag of fertilizer as opposed to medas.
“I was asking ‘what’s the problem here?’ And I discovered it’s fertilizer. But you are not given enough fertilizer and the same comes very late,” said Mundubile.
