MMD leader Pastor Nevers Mumba says Local Government minister Garry Nkombo has done what every leader must do when they make a mistake by apologising.
Speaking with Daily Revelation over the apology by Nkombo following the incident yesterday where he forced a lady who is engaged in Kachasu brewing to drink her kachasu together with her children, pastor Mumba, the former Republican vice-president, said Nkombo had set a good example for all those in leadership.
“He’s made life easy for all of us, accepting he is human and making a mistake is the order of life so we commend him for acknowledging that what he did was improper, it was wrong and it injured the liberties of others and as a leader he has done the right thing to say say sorry. We are happy that he has apologised,” said Dr Mumba. “Exactly I think that every leader must understand that we are all human, there is no one perfect. We will make many mistakes but the only thing that God places at our disposal is to repent and say sorry and once you say that you almost restore yourself to what you were before. So I think every leader must come to leadership knowing that he’s going to make a lot of mistakes but he also has to realize that when he does he should say sorry. So it’s a good example.”
