Activist Brebner Changala has challenged the Anti-Corruption Commission to be transparent enough and disclose its investigations against Agro-Fuel, a company that was running Indeni Pipe Line.
“Can the Anti-Corruption Commission deny or confirm whether Agro-Fuel company is being investigated on the $100 million allegations over the the transportation of oil between TAZAMA and Indeni Pipe Line? We want to know if there are any investigations in that regard,” Changala said. “Why is it difficult for the ACC to be transparent and go public about investigations against TAZAMA and Indeni Pipe Line? The Zambian people need genuine answers to those questions.”
He also challenged the Anti-Corruption Commission to tell the nation about the strides it has made over “allegations it made regarding the compensation” to Agro-Fuel company over the $60 million about Mpulungu Port Harbour.
“The MMD government cancelled the contract between Mpulungu Harbour and Agro-Fuel company. But today there’s no transparency regarding this issue. The over $60.6 million compensation for Agro-Fuel company is still hanging. The Anti-Corruption Commission should be transparent and go public about this issue,” said Changala.
