CHIEF NZAMANE CONDEMNS BLOCKING OF MPEZENI FOR HH INAUGURATION

 By Isaac Zulu

Senior chief Nzamane of the Ngoni speaking people in Eastern Province has condemned the decision by the ruling UPND leadership to stop Paramount Chief Mpezeni from attending the inaugural ceremony of President Hakainde Hichilema.

And Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people has said he attended the inauguration ceremony himself but he noticed that the Mpezeni was not there.

In an interview with Daily Revelation Wednesday evening, Chief Nzamane said that he had learnt about the ruling UPND’s leadership’s decision to stop  “Nkhosi ya ma Nkosi from attending Hakainde Hichilema’s innaguartion via social media.”

Chief Nzamane was, however, quick to state that it would be prudent for President Hichilema to embrace virtues of forgiveness and reconciliation in the country across.

“I am currently in a meeting. But I am not aware  that Nkhosi ya ma Nkosi was blocked or stopped from attending Hakainde Hichilema’s inauguration. I just learnt about it via social media. But since you are now forcing me to speak out, I would also take this opportunity to state that it would be prudent for President Hichilema to embrace virtues of forgiveness and reconciliation in the country across,” said Chief Nzamane. “At the moment, I cannot comment much because I have not gotten much details from Paramount Chief M’pezeni on this particular issue.”

The traditional leader was also quick to acknowledge that “if indeed the UPND leadership has stopped the Paramount Chief from attending the President’s inauguration ceremony, then it’s unfortunate.”

Meanwhile, Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people in Northern Province has said that he would not speak out on the decision by the ruling UPND leadership to sideline Paramount Chief M’pezeni of the Ngoni speaking people of Eastern Province from attending because he did not “want to speak from without and from social media speculations.”

“Like I told you earlier on, I was in a meeting. And at some point I did indicate to you that I was in area without [Mobile Phone] network. But frankly speaking, I was one  of those senior chiefs that attended that Presidential inauguration ceremony. But again, honestly speaking, I did notice that Paramount Chief M’pezeni was not around. I just learnt about this issue from social media reports. But I insist that I do not want to speak from without or from social media speculations,” stressed Paramount Chief Chitimukulu; whose real name is Henry Kanyanya Sosala, who is also a pilot by profession.

This mistake was made by the outgoing government because they were still in control. It has nothing to do with the incoming government. This is a steight forward matter. People seem.notmtp understand protocol. The new government could.never have had clout to invite people before they took office
