The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA), the biggest trade union in that country, has backed Socialist Party leader Dr Fred M’membe’s position on state ownership of the economy, and for denouncing the west over attempts to want the world to join their wars.
NUMSA tweeted Dr M’membe’s quotes on the subjects to their main tweeter account.
“Dr. Fred M’membe: ‘We fought for them in the 1st and 2nd World War. They were not with us in our battles for liberation or our battles against colonialism and imperialism. Now they want us to fight their wars for them.” #HandsOffPutin #BRICS
@IrvinJimSA @DrFredMmembe,'” NUMSA tweeted.
And in another tweet quoting Dr M’membe, NUMSA stated: “China is what it is today because of the Communist Party of China. They were not led by managing directors on what to do with the economy. 95% of the economy of China is state owned. The private sector does what the CPC wants it to do.”
