Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga, has assured Uniflex Wires and Cables Ltd of government support and protection for their investment, as the company officially launched its plant in Lusaka yesterday.
Mulenga congratulated Uniflex Wires and Cables on this milestone, expressing delight that the company chose to invest in Zambia.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, ensuring the company’s continued growth and contribution to the Zambian economy.
Director of Uniflex Mukesh Rankwar appreciated the government’s support and thanked the minister for being a steadfast ally to the industry.
Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM) president Ashu Sagar also welcomed the investment, pledging the association’s continued support to Uniflex Wires and Cables.
According to Sagar, the launch marked a significant step in Zambia’s economic development, highlighting the government’s efforts to attract and support private sector investment.
Sagar said the association was thrilled to see Uniflex Wires and Cables join the Zambian manufacturing sector, and assured them of its support in their journey.
He emphasised the importance of private sector investment in driving economic growth and job creation.
“The launch of Uniflex Wires and Cables plant demonstrates the confidence investors have in Zambia’s economy, and we commend the government for creating a favorable business environment,” Sagar said.
He further encouraged Uniflex to take advantage of the various incentives and support programs offered by the government and ZAM to ensure their continued success.
Sagar also emphasised the need for increased private sector investment, urging more investors to follow Uniflex’s lead and take advantage of the vast opportunities available in Zambia’s manufacturing sector.
He expressed optimism that the country’s economic future looked bright, with the government and private sector working together to drive growth and development.
