DAKA SCORES IN LEICESTER’S DEMOLITION OF RONALDO’S MANU

Patson Daka scored the 4th goal in Leicester’s 4-2 demolition of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United, during an English Premier league match at King Power stadium this afternoon.

Having been introduced as a 76th minute substitute, with the game at 1-all, Daka made an immediate impact with a powerful shot which was saved by Manu goalkeeper David de Gea for a corner. The cross from the resultant corner found the unmarked Daka in the area, chesting the ball down and unleashing a powerful shot at de Gea which was parried into the path of his unmarked teammate Caglar Soyuncu to shoot into the open net on 78th minute.

The goal was however short-lived as Manchester United drew level through substitute Marcus Rashford in the 82nd minute. However, the Manu equaliser was also short lived after James Vardy scored immediately following the restart a minute later. In the ensuing end to end affair, Leicester were granted a free kick near then corner-flag from which Daka scored after the ball found him unmarked at the far post and tapping into the open net in added time.

Mason Greenwood had opened the scoring for United on 19 minutes following a thunderous short outside the penalty area, which was cancelled out by Leiceter’s midfielder Youri Tielamans’ delicious chip inside the penalty area on 31 minutes.
