GET IT FROM ME, MUSEVENI IS FINE, SAYS BEN PHIRI

Major Ben Phiri says Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni may be back in office as early as tomorrow , urging people to dismiss the “falsehoods” that are being peddled.

In a statement, Maj Phiri who says he has enjoyed close relations with the Ugandan leader over the years, stated that it was not true President Museveni was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit after suffering from Covid-19.

“I would like to categorically deny the stories in some sections of the media suggesting that President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, was taken to the Intensive Care Unit. That’s a blatant lie and total misrepresentation of facts. I have been in constant touch with Dr Kenneth Omona, the Principal private Secretary to His Excellency M’7, and the correct position is that Mzee is very much on the mend and all those covid 19 symptoms have gone. He is currently going about his routine paper work as per normal, though he has continued to be in self isolation at the Kampala based Nakasero State House,” stated Maj Phiri. “As early as tomorrow, President Museveni, may be back in the public eye as we expect him to be part of the 2023/24 budget address session slated for Kololo ceremonial grounds .I urge everybody to disregard the falsehood been peddled and take it from me, President Yoweri Museveni is very much alive, kicking and will fully resume his duties in the not too distant future.”
