HICHILEMA IS A LIAR, HE MUST RESIGN – CHAMA … but Zulu tells him to take back seat as someone is cleaning “PF poop”

By Staff Reporter

Former Defence minister Davies Chama says President Hakainde Hichilema is a liar who must resign together with his administration if he has any morality in him, prompting former Foreign Affairs permanent secretary George Zulu to tell Chama to take a back seat as someone is busy cleaning “the poop” he (Chama) and the PF left behind.

Amb Zulu said borrowing from what his good friend Colonel Panji Kaunda once said to describe the enormity of the problems the PF administration created, the “poop” PF left behind was so big that it cannot be addressed in one year.

Speaking with Daily Revelation on the skyrocketing prices of fuel, mealie meal, fertilizer and the general cost of living in the country which has worsened since President Hichilema assumed office, contrary to what he promised, Chama urged President Hichilema and his administration to resign if he has any moral compass in him.

He said Zambians were already going through much suffering and warned that they could not hold on to the anger they were feeling for too long.

“I will say that he is a liar, and if he is a liar that makes him look like a crook,” Chama said.

He said the President and his administration must resign from office to pave way for fresh elections as they have shown that they do not have what it takes to address the national challenges, and were making Zambians angrier.

He said President Hichilema deceived Zambians into voting for him, but that everything they voted for was now going wayward.

Asked if Zambians should trust politicians anymore, since the PF administration also promised stuff which they did not fulfil to Zambians upon assuming office from the MMD. Responding, Chama argued that the PF managed to implement the things they promised including enacting a new constitution, embarking on massive infrastructural drive and they increased salaries for civil servants by 100 percent in the first year of office.

He said nothing will improve under the UPND administration hence the need to change administrations.

But reminded on the fact that they found the economy growing at 7 percent but by the time they were leaving it was in the negative, with the insurmountable debt pronounced at that time, Chama said most of the countries in the world were going through challenges at the time following the Covid-19 pandemic which hit the whole globe.

But Amb Zulu said cleaning all the “PF poop” is a challenging task and requires concerted effort to do so.

Amb Zulu said it was easy for the PF to sit as armchair critics as someone was cleaning the “huge poop” they left behind, saying the insurmountable debt they left behind was impacting almost every aspect of governance.

He said it would take time to address the mountain of problems they left behind, saying the new administration was discovering some of the problems after getting into office.

“Even in the fuel importation itself there are issues. You know that these are people who bought tankers when they were in office and some were even left deserted at Heroes stadium if you remember properly what has been happening. Also what has been happening is that some transporters using the route of Beira Mozambique have been decanting the oil meant for Zambia in Zimbabwe as it is expensive there, and then carry water from there to bring to Zambia,” Amb Zulu said. “Therefore without knowing, some of the service stations have been selling water to the consumers because of these unscrupulous transporters.”

Amb Zulu said Zambia was in the global village and was bound to be affected by some of the problems.
