HICHILEMA IS PRESIDING OVER A GOVT OF LIARS, BY LIARS AND FOR LIARS, SAYS KAMBWILI … Masebo should be ashamed for being used to lie

By Staff Reporter

Chishimba Kambwili has charged that Hakainde Hichilema is running an administration of liars, by liars and for liars, saying he has information that the head of state has stayed away from the N’cwala traditional ceremony because the Mpezeni told him he would invite Edgar Lungu to the event too.

Speaking on the statement from Health minister Sylvia Masebo that to sustain the progress made in the control of cholera and Covid-19, the Ministry was of the opinion that the presidential entourage does not travel to the Province, Kambwili said Masebo must be ashamed of herself for being used to come up with a lie.

He urged the UPND administration against looking at Zambians as fools who could not reason, saying Zambians could not afford to have a lying government as President Hichilema did not simply prioritise attending the N’cwala for fear of being upstaged among other considerations.

Kambwili described the statement from Masebo as a cover up, wondering how the President could be stopped from going to a ceremony which will still attract huge crowds even without him.

“Masebo must be ashamed of herself. Whether there is the President at N’cwala or not, the ceremony is always packed to capacity,” Kambwili said. “This is a government of liars, by liars and by liars. And all I have said is coming to pass.”

Kambwili said the unverified information he had was that the President did not take it kindly when the paramount chief of the Ngoni people of Eastern Province, Mpezeni went to invite him for the ceremony and indicated that he would also invite former president Lungu for the event.

He said the information was to the effect that the President asked Mpezeni “how he could invite two bulls to the same crow, saying there is no way you can invite Lungu and me to the same event.”

Kambwili said this was the same President who on face value wants to paint an impression that he has been inviting his predecessor to national events.

“So Masebo owes Zambians an apology … This is divisive and we need unity of purpose,” said Kambwili. “The President was just in Eastern Province attending the ordination of Bishop Phiri. Are you saying there was no Covid then? There is more to this than meets the eye.”
