Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Northern Province has said that he does not talk about Independence Day commemorations because he already talked about it in 1964.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, the Chitimukulu said that he cannot continue discussing an issue that he talked about 58 years ago.
“I don’t talk about Independence. I was there in 64 and I talked about it and I have since stopped talking about it,” Chief Chitimukulu explained.
Asked to give his personal views on Zambia’s democratic dispensation 58 years after independence, the Mwine Lubemba emphasised that he does not want to be dragged further in this discourse.
“No! No, no! Nothing. I talk about those issues that you are raising. I have said before that I talked about Independence in 1964. Thank you,” said Chief Chitimukulu.
