State House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says he is wondering what people want because when the President travels they complain that he travels a lot and when he stays they say he is not travelling to China.
And Hamasaka said people should appreciate the fact that there is a NAPSA facility and they will receive their money, against complaints that beneficiaries have not started receiving their 20 percent partial withdraws since the law came into effect.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Hamasaka addressed concerns from stakeholders that despite taking several international trips, the President has not seen it fit to travel to the country’s biggest creditor, China, which some allude to the delay in reaching the debt relief package, arguing that everything is in control.
“I keep telling you, (when) the President goes then he travels too much. He stays here (they say) he’s not travelling. So what do people want?” Hamasaka asked. “Leave it. Just know that everything is under full control. Everything is under control.”
And Hamasaka said the NAPSA partial withdraws will improve personal livelihood, saying those who are building will get into warehouses, those who are marrying will pay lobola with those they have paid to “buying kapenta”, which will all go towards improving the much complained about liquidity in the economy.
But asked if it did not concern the President that since he signed the law into effect and NAPSA indicated that the withdraws were almost immediate, people have not started receiving their money, Hamasaka said one had to be careful with financial issues as there were processes involved, saying he saw a statement from NAPSA that people will start getting their money ‘tomorrow.’
However, that is what the NAPSA MD also said three days ago. But Hamasaka insisted that there were several processes involved including proper verifications.
“People should just appreciate that there is such an opportunity in the country. And you know NAPSA, there are a lot of companies that are part of NAPSA. For example does Daily Revelation, you cut salaries for your employees do you remit it? So there will be all those ramifications. So people should just be patient,” said Hamasaka, adding that NAPSA will be in a better position to explain as implementers.
