I EXPECTED ATTACKS TO CONTINUE – TASILA

By Patson Chilemba

Former president Edgar Lungu’s daughter, Tasila, says she expected attacks following her press briefing with her siblings yesterday.

Speaking with Daily Revelation media, Tasila said she did what she did yesterday, saying she was not concerned about attacks, in responding to the assertions that she and her family members just issued a statement and feared taking questions.

“I am not concerned about attacks. I think I expected attacks to come and I had something to say. The family had something to say and they chose me to be their spokesperson. So we said it and that’s all I can tell you. I can’t go beyond that,” Tasila said, insisting that she did not have anything to say beyond what she said at the presser yesterday for the family. “Attacks! Yes they have been coming for the last seven years. They have been coming and I am sure they will continue. But we’ve said what we had to say and we’ll continue to move on.”

Media director in the Minstry of Information Thabo Kawana said he expected Tasila to tell people how for instance her brother ended up having 65, but Tasila said she would not answer any further questions at this time.

“As you know the matter is in court at this time. So I really don’t wanna say anymore. But thank you do much. I’m so grateful,” said Tasila.
