I’M AFRAID SABOI WILL INSULT MY SHORT STATURE – KABWITA … she has a foul mouth that woman

By Staff Reporter

New UPND member Charles Kabwita says he does not want to talk about his former president in the NDC Saboi Imboela for fear of being insulted, saying “that woman has a foul mouth” and “will just insult my short stature.”

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Kabwita who was NDC secretary general until the time of his defection to UPND, said there was no NDC to talk about as the party is completely finished.

But asked on Imboela’s standing, Kabwita said he feared addressing Imboela for fear of being insulted.

“She will insult me. That woman insults. She has a foul mouth,” Kabwita said, saying following his resignation, the vice-president also resigned, claiming that Imboela went to her Facebook page and insulted him. “Kanshi nefi twaipipa she will just say ati bashi bwipi (She will just exploit my short stature and insult me for that).”

Kabwita said he had been received well in the UPND by the party national youth chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso, saying he decided to join the UPND as the PF was in “a mess.”

He said he worked with the UPND to form the UPND alliance although it did not work well in the end and traversed the country campaigning with President Hakainde Hichilema.

Put to him that his political career seemed to be intertwined with that of his uncle Chishimba Kambwili and if he would love to see his uncle in UPND one day, Kabwita said he joined the PF through his late grandfather Chitalu Sampa and formed the NDC and remained in the NDC after Kambwili defected to PF.

He also said it would be unfair to invite his uncle who was currently a serious contender for the PF presidency, adding that he had his own free choice to chart his political course.

But asked on the fact that not too long ago he was a vicious critic of President Hichilema and the UPND, Kabwita said he criticised the UPND by virtue of being in the opposition, saying that was his role as an opposition politician.

He said his role was to provide checks and balances on those in government.

“Yes I did so and I have no regret. I did so because I was in the opposition and that’s what opposition required me to do. But I took a deep reflection. I realised I was wasting my time criticising a man who has brought so much peace,” said Kabwita.
