The Joint Investigations Team (JIT) has interrogated former Lands minister Jean Kapata over the land said to have been given to PF for the construction of the party secretariat in Woodlands.
And the JIT have arrested former PF secretary general Davies Mwila over several offences.
Well placed sources have told Daily Revelation that Kapata was specifically called to answer to assertions that she allegedly gave land to the former ruling party along Burma road, where they were to construct their party headquarters, which was also to host a shopping mall and filling station.
“So basically that is what madam Kapata was interrogated for. In fact recent developments have actually indicated that unknown to many, some leaders in the party have since sold that same land after failing to settle legal fees to the lawyers who have been representing party members in the courts of law,” sources said. “If you went there before there were actually roofs stored on the same land, but reports indicate that thieves started stealing them forcing the party to take the remaining roofs to the secretariat.”
And the JIT has arrested Mwila after interrogating him on various offences. He has been charged with being in possession of properties suspected to be proceeds of crime and has been released on police bond.
