Given Lubinda was a loner when he went to Western Province to see Mumbi Phiri as no one recognised him, says the PF’s Charity Banda.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Banda said the leadership headed by acting PF president Given Lubinda must be ashamed that there was information indicating that most of the candidates who stood on the PF ticket in Western Province are defecting from the party to join the UPND.
“They are not ashamed of themselves. They are busy destroying our strongholds instead of going to Western, Southern and North Western provinces where we don’t have even have councilors ,” Banda said, saying the party lost lamentably in those provinces, claiming that Lubinda and those in leadership were instead planning of dissolving structures in Northern, Luapula and Muchinga provinces.
“He went to Western Province to see Mumbi Phiri, he was a loner. Nobody even recognised him as president,” said Banda. “For a long time he has never wanted to work with structures. Why dissolving leaders who were elected? Theynwant peole abakubembila amalaila. What they are supposed to do is go on the ground and see what people are saying.”
