PF national chairman Davies Chama says party member of parliament for Kantanshi Anthony Mumba is someone who is behaving like his body is in PF but his heart is in the ruling UPND.
Speaking with Daily Revelation on Mumba’s statement that he would accept a ministerial appointment from President Hakainde Hichilema, and went further to praise some of the achievements scored by UPND in the stability of the currency, free education and increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Chama said Mumba’s standing in the PF was very doubtful.
He said it was clear to tell where Mumba stood politically that he is defending some of the very things his party has raised issues on.
“Then you can tell what type of a man he is. From what you have quoted, what he said, you can tell that he has some different ideas. So you can conclude. Even yourself you know what type of a gentleman he is. So such kind people for me I don’t take them seriously,” Chama said.
He indicated that Mumba appeared like one with his body in PF but his heart is in UPND
“You can tell by his story. You can tell by his story. How patriotic is he? It’s doubtful. It’s very very doubtful. Yah! Very doubtful. By the way he comes out you can tell that the man does not want to promote the interests of the party. Period! It’s as strait forward as that. I can tell you he doesn’t promote the interests of the party and the unity of the party. It’s as simple as that. That one I can tell you without any question about it,” Chama said.
He said he has on several occasions commented on what Mumba has said in the past, and did not want to appear like he has something against him.
“I will be wasting my time to comment on that. I will just be wasting my time. He’s our member. You know he was an independent member of parliament, he has always been a member of PF, only that when he was not adopted he chose to stand as an independent then he came back in the fold and he was adopted. So I have have no comment on such characters myself,” said Chama.
