Musokotwane to represent HH at 10th Delphi Economic Forum – Nkulukusa

Ministry of Finance and National Planning Secretary to the Treasury, Felix Nkulukusa says Finance Minister Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane, has arrived to represent President Hakainde Hichilema in Delphi, Greece, for the 10th Delphi Economic Forum.

In a statement yesterday, Nkulukusa stated that Dr. Musokotwane’s delegation was said to be engaging in high-level discussions on driving sustainable futures through financing for development, enhancing competitiveness through strong governance systems, developing geo-economic paradigm, mobilising private equity and investment in infrastructure, and technology and innovation.

“This year, the Delphi Economic Forum is celebrating a shared reflection on the passed transformative decade,” Nkulukusa stated, highlighting the forum’s focus on investment promotion and partnership consolidation.

He stated that the delegation had also been tasked by the Delphi Economic Forum to make a presentation on how Zambia managed to navigate its economic recovery, debt restructuring and transformation processes. 

Nkulukusa further stated that, on a global scale, the world witnessed profound shifts, from the escalating climate crisis, geo-economic realignments and political instability in some regions, to the disruptive influence of technological progress on traditional modes of work, production, and social interaction.

He further stated that Dr. Musokotwane was accompanied by Presidential special assistant for economic affairs Dr. Pamela Nakamba, Presidential policy advisor Chipo Mwanawasa and Ministry of Finance and National Planning acting director for Economic Management Akapelwa Imwiko, stressing that the Delphi Economic Forum brought together public officials, civil society, businesses, academia and other stakeholders.

Nkulukusa stated that the forum sought to benefit from the collective wisdom of high-calibre guests and speakers to explore potential solutions to pressing global challenges through dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, ultimately charting a course toward a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future.
