PF vice-president Given Lubinda says it is interesting to watch the break down of law where Raphael Nakachinda has been detained by the police without being arrested.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Lubinda said the police have warned and cautioned Nakachinda but before arresting him, they have decided to detain him and will spend a night in the cells.
He said this was in the same manner they handled another PF member Stephen Kampyongo on arguments that they were to transport him to Chinsali where the alleged offence was committed, but wondered why the same should be applied to Nakachinda who lives in Lusaka.
“We are watching how laws are being abused,” Lubinda said.
He said UPND thugs caused violence and have damaged several vehicles belonging to PF members, including Chris Mall, but that quick action by the police led to their arrest.
Lubinda, however, said it was disturbing to hear that Nakachinda will spend the night in the same cell with the “nine suspected criminals”, saying if anything bad happens to Nakachinda the PF will blame the police.
Nakachinda recently alleged that judges were meeting with President Hichilema, forcing the Attorney General to ask for contempt proceedings to commence against him.
