No one should trust Kambwili – Kabimba … Opposition doesn’t need to unite to remove HH

By Staff Reporter

Chishimba Kambwili’s nephew, Charles Kabwita, is right in saying that his uncle is an untrustworthy person who must not be taken seriously over his suggestion that the opposition should unite in order to remove President Hakainde Hichilema from office in 2026.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Kabimba said anyone who has followed Kambwili’s politics will [pp-logged-users] agree with Kabwita.

“I don’t think that Kabwita’s views are misplaced going by the track record of my brother CK. How many times, look at the video clips where he said he will never go back to PF and suggesting to him that he should go back to PF was tantamount to an insult for him. Suggesting that he must go and work with Edgar Lungu was an insult to him,” Kabimba said. “Today he is dining and wining with Edgar Lungu, a man that he said he couldn’t join and work with because he was corrupt. So if the Zambian people judged the politicians of this country going by their track record nobody should ever believe Kambwili. And Kabwita is right.”

Kabimba said the theory that an opposition party could not remove an incumbent from office, unless through an opposition pact of alliance was already debunked when Michael Sata removed former president Rupiah Banda from office.

He said even when the pact between PF and UPND fell prior to the 2011 general elections he was blamed that the MMD would get back to power because he contributed to the collapse of the pact, but everybody that was of that view was proved wrong.

And Kabimba said the consent judgments from the Attorney General’s chambers where UPND cadres and officials are being rewarded handsomely, with Transport minister Frank Tayali being the most recent recipient, must come to an end.

He described the same as daylight robbery of the treasury, warning that those who have been paid the monies can enjoy it for now, but will be pursued in future to pay back the money they have gotten from the treasury.

“You can’t reward someone who is not a businessman and say the reason we are rewarding is because they lost business. So for us as Economic Front, this is money that will come back to the true owners,” said Kabimba. “When you try to do a search at the High Court it’s not easy to find files because they know what they are doing is criminal.” [/pp-logged-users]
