Former president Edgar Lungu has thanked his supporters and other Zambians for “turning up in their enormous numbers” to offer solidarity when he appeared for a court case where his 2021 election nomination has been petitioned.
Writing after the matter came up for hearing before the Constitutional Court earlier today, Lungu stated that the matter has since been adjourned to July 08, 2024 for hearing.
Lungu was accompanied to court by PF vice-president Given Lubinda, secretary general Raphael Nakachinda and some members of parliament.
“Let me express my profound gratitude to our party supporters and other Zambians who turned up in their enormous numbers to give us solidarity and support,” stated Lungu.
