Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) chief electoral officer Kryticous Patrick Nshindano says the commission has a long history and legacy to protect, having successfully carried out its mandate since its establishment.
Speaking during the launch of the new ECZ brand at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka today, Nshindano said a number of activities have been lined up in view of the new brand journey.
“Since its establishment, the Commission has successfully carried out its mandate of election management and with this, ECZ has a long history and legacy to protect,” Nshindano boasted. “It is my firm belief that with this new beginning, yourselves as key stakeholders and the general public will continue to render support to the Commission as you have done in the past to ensure that the Commission executes its mandate successfully.”
He described the new launch as another milestone scored in the commission’s transformational agenda.
“One of the Commission’s core values is innovativeness. Today’s unveiling of our new brand speaks to our commitment to continue innovating our processes in order to remain relevant and appealing in this modern era. Today we announce the launch of our new corporate brand identity – a redesigned logo and enhanced colours. These changes come at a time when the Commission is evolving its operations and repositioning itself in the world,” said Nshindano. “Last year, we successfully conducted the General Election whilst introducing new technologies in our electoral operations. Along with technological advancements in our operations, we are rolling out a new branding effort to reflect our growth, and more importantly, the changes in the digital space. With this, we envisage rapid changes and our brand has been updated to reflect our forward-thinking focus.”
