Kasama-Central member of parliament Sibongile Mwamba says Zambia is doing very well, with its reviews globally in the positive.
According to her remarks posted on the Ministry of Finance Twitter feed, Mwamba said Zambia was doing well despite the challenges the country was going through.
“Zambia is doing very well on the global map. We may have our own challenges but as a country that is in the low income bracket we really trying our best. And at global level the reviews of Zambia are actually very positive,” Mwamba said.
She said the global economy was going through turbulence, but Zambia should look into its internal resources to have more domestic resource mobilisation to avoid being taken aback during periods of shock,
Mwamba said Zambia was in need of financing, in view of the withdraw of funding from global partners in the health sector,
She urged citizens to be proud of themselves and what the country was doing, including how they could help the government to during this difficult period.
She said there were countries that were doing far less than Zambia
“We are really doing very well, and I am only hopeful that all the achievements that Zambia is making can be translated to the common person, to the grassroot so that they may be well aware of what we are doing as a country,” said Mwamba.
