Patriotic Front Central Province chairman Billy Sichamba has expressed optimism that his party will win the Mukubwe ward by-election in Ngabwe district.

Sichamba says the ground is fertile for the former ruling party, adding that the Patriot Front leadership in Central Province wants to consolidate on the gains made so far.

“The ground is fertile for the Patriotic Front. I am very optimistic that we will scoop the Mukubwe ward by-election in Ngabwe district, which is slated for 12th October. All we need is to consolidate on the gains made so far,” Sichamba explained in an interview.

He said in any election, it is important for a political organisation to give the right message to the electorate in order to emerge victorious.

“In any competition, a political party should give the right message to the electorate in order for them to give us a vote and, subsequently emerge victorious,” said Sichamba. “The people are fed up with the unfulfilled promises by the UPND. They have now made up their minds and I can tell you that the people are receiving our campaign messages so well.”
