The police and Faith Musonda have not discussed anything regarding the money that was found in her house.
Police in Lusaka have been looking for Musonda, the alleged owner of over K65 million kwacha and 57,000 USD found in her house in Lusaka’s New Kasama.
Police sources have told Daily Revelation that when the lawyers Makebi Zulu and Jonas Zimba appeared with Musonda, they informed the police that they were not ready to proceed and were merely there to assure them that their client was not on the run.
The source said Musonda and the lawyers requested to go back to the police this Thursday at 14: 00 hours.
“So they came here and told us they they could not talk about anything. They just wanted to let us know that she is not on the run and no manhunt should be brought into the picture,” the source said.
Musonda arrived at the Zambia Police offices after 9 hours and in the company of her lawyers.
And Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo stated that “Faith Musonda availed herself to Police today at Lusaka Division Police Headquaters in the company of her lawyers Makebi Zulu and Jonas Zimba. Her Lawyers have requested for more time, hence she will appear on Thursday this week. In the spirit of justice, police granted their request.”
