President Hakainde Hichilema says his government has done what others failed to do in 10 years.
Speaking at Kasama Airport, upon arrival for the Women’s Day Celebration this morning, President Hichilema said the UPND had brought development to the whole country.
“Many have failed to do for ten years. Free education, abana ba nshiwa, abana babapina kuya kusukulu ukwabula ukulipila (orphans, the children of poor people are able to go to school without paying anything),” President Hichilema said.
He appealed to the UPND in Northern Province to unite.
He stressed that there were no two groups of UPND, because they were one.
He added that the UPND was going to deliver development through the platform of unity.
“Akashita nakaya (Time is running out), l simply want to say; your reception is wonderful, it makes us feel very happy. But will also want to ask you to remain strong, to remain united. Tikatane, tubombele chapamo, tefyo mukwayi (We must unite and work together isn’t it)?” President Hichilema asked.
Meanwhile President Hichilema reminded the youths and women of Northern Province to get their National Registration Cards (NRC) in readiness for next year’s general elections.
