Power bullish ahead of Berkane clash

‎Power Dynamos captain and midfielder Prince Mumba says the team is feeling very bullish about grabbing another 3 points in tomorrow’s penultimate CAF Champions League Group A home game against RS Berkane because of their Moroccan opponents’ modest away form.

‎The Kitwe giants head into the match a week after recording their first group stage win and debut victory at this phase when they beat Rivers United 1-0 in Nigeria on Sunday to put them in quarterfinal contention with two games left to play.

‎Power are 3rd on 4 points, two points behind Berkine while Pyramids FC of Egypt have 10 points.

‎Rivers are bottom of Group A on 1 point.

‎Mumba said in an interview that the 3-0 first leg loss Power suffered to Berkane match day one is history.

‎”We lost the first match in the group away and we understand that they have been in this competition for quite some time now. The belief in our tea was not as high as it is now,” Mumba said.

‎”The experience was not as high as it is now. They used that to their advantage and luckily but we have played 4 games in the group stage and we are good to go.
‎No excuses and them coming to Zambia, we will try to use our home advantage
‎We have noticed that these guys are bad travellers.”

‎Berkane come into the game after losing 3-0 to Pyramids and had to dig deep in their previous Group A match away to Rivers with two stoppage-time goals to rally from one-nil down late in the second half.

‎The away win over Rivers is Berkane’s only victory on the road in the CAF Champions League this season where they have 2 draws and a loss.

‎”They don’t usually get good results when they are away from home
‎We will try to use that to our advantage,” Mumba said.

‎”Secondly, I feel we are quite in form as compared to them. They have played two games, and we have played two; we have collected four points, and they have collected one point. So we will try to use our form to our advantage and I believe that it will turn out well for us.”
