Democratic Party’s Judith Kabemba says her standing with Zambians is still intact, when she was asked over insults on former DP deputy secretary general Vincent Chintu, whom she referred to as chik*la and told him to work on his “manship” and that “akaponoka” whenever the two will meet.
And Kabemba has defended Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) Director General Mary Chirwa that she is not the one in the pornographic video which has gone viral, where Chirwa’s look-alike is seen sucking a banana and at one point licking it after rubbing it from what appears like the sensitive parts.
Contacted by Daily Revelation over the insults drawn from WhatsApp messages and audios, with one message shown as coming from her number telling Chintu, “Chik*la chose. You came running in September 2021 saying that you needed help, you needed money to go to the hospital because your manhood was no longer working because of the prostitute you took in town and that you were venting the frustration on the poor woman at your home. I gave you that money from my hard earned money as a woman and today you want to bring my name into foolish things. You want to bring your frustration to me. Just go and work on your manship. Otherwise you are a woman Kolwe iwe.”
And in another audio, Chintu was called umwana wambwa for including her “mufintu fyabupuba”, and attacked her nemesis Harry Kalaba of impropriety.
“Chika*la chobe Chintu, noyowine ukutuma umwebe ati chika*la chakwe. We mbwa wee (You dog),” the voice sounding exactly like that of Kabemba is heard shouting.
In another audio, the same voice is heard telling Chintu that he failed to become a priest as he was in the habit of moving peeping over the sisters windows when they were sleeping in order to undress their underwear, challenging him that they should meet at some ground if he were man enough and warned him that wherever she was going to meet him “ukaponoka. Nkakuponona. Wambelesha sana iwe (I will best you. You have gone too far). Who are you?”
“You left PAC you ran away from Andyford Banda, wise mukuleta ifyabupuba uku. Chika*la chobe,” the voice exactly as Kabemba’s shouted.
The argument seemed to have started after Chintu posted a message accusing Kabemba’s ally, Nkonge, if the Seventh Day allows him to stand in front of the pulpit for allegedly telling them the things he does not do, recalling an incident at court where Nkonge purportedly did not respond kindly for “just appreciating that you have grown old but with wisdom.”
“Mmmmmmmmm! That was uncalled for, your girl friend also without shame echoed – ‘IWE KA CHINTU ULI PA LIST YAKUPONOKA’ a woman uttering such words to me was very unfortunate,” Chintu stated in one whatsapp group they shared membership with Nkonge and Kabemba.
But contacted today over the insults and that despite her denials, the person who was talking in the whatsapp audios sounded exactly like herself and the audios were actually sent from her number and was asked if at all she felt her insults added any decency to herself personally and as a political figure, Kabemba said she was not going to “sit” and exonerate herself on things “that I have not given an official statement on.”
“For now my response is that I am not commenting on that,” she said.
But put to her that the messages were sent from her number, Kabemba insisted that she was not commenting.
Asked if she agreed it was not decent to act in that manner, Kabemba said she would not comment, and when asked how she hoped to redeem herself from those insults, she insisted on the same.
Put to her that people might have a different view of her now, especially that she was saying that her party would go into mass mobilization following the decision by Kalaba and others to finally vacate the party, Kabemba maintained the same.
Asked if she felt her political standing was still intact regardless what she said, she said she would not focus on matters which did not need attention.
Put to her on the possibility that her insults have diminished her standing, Kabemba said “let’s watch and see. I have said I am not commenting. Let’s watch and see.”
“My political standing has grown. My influence base has grown,” Kabemba said, and asked if it were so despite the insults, she insisted that: “Watch! Very soon, I am not commenting on that matter like I have said, but watch very closely, very soon Zambia will have a female president.”
She said “those insults are your assertions.”
“But that is your voice madam Kabemba. That is your voice and that is your writing,” the journalist retorted, with Kabemba insisting that she would not comment on that and belabor on things that are not adding value to this country.
She said her goal was to ensure that very “soon Zambia should have a female president.”
Asked on what made her so upset to come out in the manner she did, Kabemba said the question had not backbone.
On the video which has gone viral showing DEC boss Chirwa’s look-alike performing sexual acts with herself, Kabemba said she would not comment on a matter that she was not sure of as she was not an expert.
She said she did not know “madam Chirwa at a close range” and therefore could not tell whether that was her or not, but against her own position, Kabemba said there was a huge percent that that was not Chirwa.
Asked what her comment would be if that were Chirwa, Kabemba said it can’t be Chirwa because “obviously I mean she is a woman of a right standing. We all know her. So there is nothing like what if it was her. It cannot be her.”
“It cannot be her. I Judith Kabemba I am saying that is not her. The one I have been watching on TV and the one I am seeing on that video I don’t think that is her. But because I am not an expert and I don’t know this matter very well that’s why I have said that I reserve my comment,” said Kabemba.
