I NEVER ASKED FOR A JOB FROM HAKAINDE, SAYS KBF

By Staff Reporter

I never asked for a job from Hakainde, says Zambia Must Prosper leader Kelvin Bwalya Fube.

Fube was contacted for his reaction to Information and Media minister Chushi Kasanda’s assertion that he was upset because he was not given an appointment by President Hakainde Hichilema. In reaction, Fube said he was not doing interviews now as he was clearing his people who came from the provinces for the official launch of his party.

But put to him that Kasanda said he was upset on account of not being given a job, Fube despite saying he did not want to comment, however, sipped through a reaction.

“It doesn’t matter what she says. You write what she says…Hakainde is my friend okay! He knows what we talk. That’s it. I never asked for a job, you go and ask him. Go and ask him. When I do interviews I will do interviews,” responded Fube to Daily Revelation, insisting that he had no comment.

During the launch of his political party, Zambia Must Prosper, Fube charged that the UPND has no clear philosophy nor platform for job creation, and that they do not even have a clear youth agenda or policy, including lacking a clear leadership strategy as everything revolves around one man, kasanda said the UPND was not a one man show.

But Kasanda said Fube was saying that on account of being upset that he was not given a job by President Hichilema.

“The question is how long did we work with him? He was a PF character, isn’t it? How long did we work with him? We worked with him for a very short time. And you see that is why those ones who are not stable, people who are not stable, and I call him not stable because he was PF for a very long time. He left the PF and came and joined the UPND,” Kasanda told Daily Revelation Media. “ And because he was not given any appointment, if you are a genuine UPND member you should be able to stay isn’t it? But he decides to jump out and now he starts making noise. If he was given an appointment do you think he would be making noise?”

She said what Fube was saying was a manifestation of being upset at not being given the job.
