A PARTY CAN’T RUN THIS BROKE IN JUST 9 MONTHS OUT OF OFFICE – MOONGA … a clique has sold PF land

By Patson Chilemba

Paul Moonga says he has left the PF because of the “uninspiring leadership provided by acting president Given Lubinda”, saying he has little confidence in a leadership that has sold their biggest asset in just nine months after losing office, something he said is known by only a clique.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Moonga said he was inspired by the leadership of former president Edgar Lungu, and now that he was no longer there he has decided to leave, especially that the person who replaced him in the PF presidency has failed to inspire the party, with there still being not a substantive leader almost a year after losing the general elections.

Moonga said he was shocked with some of the leadership positions given to people in the party, saying people like Syacheye Madyenkuku and Mulando who have served the party faithfully over the years are being overlooked for new comers in terms of chairing party committees.

He said unknown to the party leadership, “a clique” has sold the party’s biggest asset, land along Burma road, where they were to construct their party headquarters which was also to host a shopping mall and a filling station.

Moonga said he came to know about this from his own connections, saying they gave away the land after failing to settle legal fees to the lawyers who have been representing party members in the courts of law.

However, he wondered that UNIP which has been out of power for over thirty years still has assets, yet the PF has lost their biggest asset in just less than nine months of being out of power.
