CHIPOLOPOLO’S WORLD CUP GROUP OPPONENTS GET BUSY WITH PREPS

CHIPOLOPOLO Zambia’s opponents in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group E qualifiers are also busy with pre-November warm-up matches across Africa and beyond.

Zambia was by press time last night in action against Egypt in the United Arab Emirates city of Abu Dhabi where they will also play Uganda on October 17.

Meanwhile, Zambia’s Group E opponents Morocco, Niger and Tanzania have confirmed dates over the next week.

However, Eritrea and Zambia’s opening Group E opponents this November Congo-Brazzaville have yet to officially confirm their respective October itineraries.

Zambia’s second Group E opponent next month Niger is away in Morocco to play Somalia and Libya.

Niger is in Casablanca where they will face Somalia on October 14 and will close their friendly schedule against Libya on October 17.

Morocco will begin their October friendly dates against 2023 AFCON hosts Cote d’Ivoire on October 14 in Abidjan.

The Atlas Lions will then fly back home to host Liberia in Agadir on October 17.

Tanzania is also on the road but has just one friendly match on their October diary.

The Taifa Stars will face Sudan away on October 15 in the Saudi Arabian town of Taif.

Zambia’s Group E qualifying campaign will commence during the week of November 13 at home against Congo Brazzaville and visit Niger on November 20.
