DP DELIBERATING OVER RECOMMENDATION TO EXPEL KABEMBA, NKONGE

By Staff Reporter

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is today sitting, where the recommendation to expel Judith Kabemba and Justine Nkonge will be discussed.

Insiders in the DP have told Daily Revelation that the party’s ethics committee recently recommended the expulsion of Kabemba and treasurer Nkonge.

The two have challenged DP leader Harry Kalaba’s position from continuing to hold on to the presidency and accessing the party secretariat, arguing that the founder members had decided to take over the party due to the alleged undemocratic tendencies by Kalaba.

Kabemba and Nkonge applied for an exparte order but were denied, and therefore the interparte hearings which the courts put on hold, until preliminary issues raised by Kalaba have been addressed.

However, Kabemba and Nkonge applied for the court to throw away Kalaba’s arguments, whose ruling is still being awaited.
