Chongwe District Commissioner Dr Evans Lupiya says the government is working tirelessly to ensure that the country’s economy is back on track.
Dr Lupiya said the government has put in place measures to ensure that the country’s economic situation is addressed through boosting the tourism industry.
Speaking when he officiated at the Happy Land Resort, Dr Lupiya reiterated that President Hakainde Hichilema’s call to boost both hospitality and tourism sectors.
“President Hichilema Hichilema has always emphasised the need to boost the tourism industry. The tourism industry has the potential to help in boosting our economy,” he said
Dr Lupiya said the tourism sector had the potential to boost the economy through its ability to attract international tourists who come into the country.
And Happy Land resort Chief executive officer Dr Joseph Mulenga has assured the government support to boost the economy through the hospitality industry.
“I reiterate our continued support to government to boost the economy through the hospitality industry. Our economy needs collaborative efforts from all sectors,” said Dr Mulenga.
