President Hakainde Hichilema has fired Kakoma Kanganja as police inspector general and replaced him with Lemmy Kajoba.
President Hichilema has also fired all the service chiefs and replaced them with new ones, saying they will be redeployed to serve the country in other capacities, paying glowing tribute towards the work they put in during the transition “under difficult circumstances.”
Zambia Army Lieutenant General William Sikazwe has been replaced with Major General Dennis Sitali Alibuzwi, with Zambia Air Force Lt Gen David Michael Muma being replaced with Brigadier General Collins Barry, while Zambia National Service commandant Lt Gen Nathan Mulenga has been replaced by Brigadier General Patrick Solochi.
President Hichilema announced the changes during an address at his New Kasama residence in Lusaka this evening.
