JEAN, CHALIKOSA ARE SETTING BAD STANDARDS FOR CHILDREN, SAYS PASTOR CHILUBA … as rival PF camps continue unleashing insults in WhatsApp blogs

By Daily Revelation Reporters

Jean Kapata and Sylvia Chalikosa are setting bad standards to children for insulting and justifying industry, says Healing Word Ministry Overseer Pastor Moses Chiluba.

And PF central committee member Paul Moonga has urged his fellow committee members and former Lands minister Kapata to apologise publicly for her insult.

However, PF WhatsApp blogs have descended into competition platforms of who can insult the most, with a known Given Lubinda supporter Ackim Banda, categorising Chishimba Kambwili’s supporters as dogs for supporting a man who “wears diapers”, and his supporters also counter insulting his opponents.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, pastor Chiluba said Kapata was speaking from the abundance of the heart, referring to the Scripture in the Bible that says that from the abundance of one’s heart the mouth speaks.

“So when people start howling insults, mumitima mwalisula insele (it means the same is filled with insults in their hearts). It’s just that people don’t follow the Bible. Me I cannot say what is not in my heart. Whatever I say it is something in my heart. And you media people are the ones who are supposed to be covering and letting the people know the wrongs that people are doing,” he said.

Pastor Chiluba urged Kapata to stop speaking anyhow and for her colleague Chalikosa to stop justifying the insults.

“Number 1, they are parents and the children are hearing what the parents are saying. They are setting bad standards. So they should not just be saying whatever comes in the mind they say it. They should speak knowing they are parents,” pastor Chiluba said. “They should speak knowing that they are national leaders. Leadership does not end when you lose the election. What if we want to elect, or the nation wants to re-elect them with that kind of behavior? At what point do they respect themselves?”

He also dismissed Kapata and Chalikosa’s argument that the former was tested to the limit and that was why she came out the way she did.

“Awe tefyochiba iyo (No, it’s not like that). They should not even justify that,” pastor Chiluba said.

And Moonga said he listens to most of the insults in the blogs but he usually chooses to remain silent in order to avoid being entangled further with anyone.

“So my clear advice to my colleagues, especially the elder ones, is when small kids make noise we ignore them, they will look very foolish. So if you engage yourself as an adult with stupid small boys, whether you think they have been hired or not,the best way is to ignore such characters,” Moonga said. “And they will look more foolish because deliberately they want to provoke you. You answer back you are behaving as if you are the same team. My advice to senior members of the party, let us respect one another because insults won’t build the party.”

He said it was unfortunate for Chalikosa to defend the insults.

“The best thing to do when you are wrong is to say I am sorry…there will be nobody who will be given heaven over insults. You can never justify an insult. No matter how much I wrong you I should not insult. Whether I am right one insult will disqualify all the things I have done in my life,” Moonga said. “So we should not justify insults with anything. Let’s work on our tempers as leaders because temper won’t take us anywhere.”

One of the people Kapata insulted, Kelvin Mwaba has since been written to to exculpate himself, together with other people in his group, but they have instead argued that Kapata and Chalikosa should also be written to for insulting.

Asked on that observation, Moonga said: They will be right in their own right. I said when you have insulted you have insulted. So if I am insulted I am being punished. It’s us adults who are supposed to teach young ones.

“As Paul Moonga an adult I will be turning 64 on the 11th of January by the way. You can’t be growing old without wisdom. Life has no reverse gear. So my advice is those colleagues who insulted the best thing to do is to withdraw the insult. Simple. You can never justify an insult in anyway.”

But insults in PF blogs have now become common place, as cadres of rival factions supporting different candidates are going at each other with hard insults. Most party leaders are also members of these same groups and they are seeing as their members go at each other at full throttle with hard insults.

Posting in several groups, Ackim Banda, popularly known as Maka Maka, a known Lubinda supporter unleashed on Kambwili’s supporters.

“Do you think this is a party of the Bembas? Do you want us to be hearing about your foolishness in every blog? Chishimba nyonyo, Chishimba nyonyo Chishimba nyonyo. Do you think this party belongs to Chishimba kanyongo? Mwanya you will see what we will do to you. Do you think this is Kennedy Kamba’s party? I will embarrass Chishimba Kambwili he knows me,” Banda said. “Tell him I said c****** c***e, even more than Jean Kapata told him. He walks with diapers everywhere, gout coming out everywhere. Idiot. Tell him you are a dog, and all of you supporting him are dogs.”

Another blogger posted that Kambwili’s supporters should respect the party leadership otherwise their leader would be in for the same kind of treatment.

But another blogger said he had warned long ago that former president Edgar Lungu hated Kambwili with a passion and would even prefer leaving the party in the hands of “a Chinese.”

“Lelo elo mwashininkisha. Given Lubinda mutundunshi (What tribe is Given Lubinda)?” he asked.

Another one, Mwaba said Lungu was bad hearted such that even if he were to settle at the farm he would never to eat any produce from that farm.

He said acting secretary general Nixon Chilangwa should not be used to carry out illegalities by the former president.

“Tekweba ati ba Chilangwa amafi aya apa, mwalya (Don’t eat any filthy stuff given to you)” Mwaba said, with another contributor saying: “Impatila ba Lungu bakwata yali ibela (Lungu’s hatred is very unique).”

Another blogger going by the name Mwana Monta said “ba Lungu nelyo balusa balefwaya ukwikatilila kubu tungulushi (Lungu, after after losing still wants to hold on to the party leadership)”

“People hate you ba mapyete, ba puti (both mean extreme and uncontrollable liars), ba mpompolyongo (thieves). People hate you. That’s why we want to rebrand,” Mwana Monta said. “Iwe ka Tutwa Ngulube waisa nokwisa ati Kelvin Kaunda you are indiscipline. Tell that to your children.”

Another blogger said they were aware that “the Lungu cartel” wanted to increase the number of leaders at section, constituency, district and provincial level to 72 in order to disadvantage their candidate Kambwili, claiming that they did not have the numbers to defeat him now if they went for the convention.
