PF member Chishimba Kambwili has been admitted to Roan Hospital in Luanshya due high Blood Pressure and swollen legs.

His lawyer Kennedy Mambwe confirmed the development in an interview with Daily Revelation.

“That’s what I have been advised that he has been admitted at Roan Hospital. I have received that information. Okay he wasn’t well even when he was inside. He had complained that time he went in, his BP shot up and it never went down so he started experiencing swollen legs. So yesterday that’s when he came back from Kasama so we separated at Kapiri. He went to Luanshya and I came to Lusaka but I was called this morning by one of the aides that they had taken him to the hospital so it’s true,” Mambwe said.

Last week, magistrate Samson Mumba sentenced Kambwili to 5 months imprisonment after he was found guilty of practicing hate speech.

But on Monday, he was admitted to bail in the sum of K300, 000 with two working sureties in the like sum.

He was also ordered not to discuss his case until it is disposed of as well as surrender his passport.

In this case, Kambwili was charged with the offence of expressing hatred and ridicule of the people of Southern Province based on tribe and place of origin.
