By President Edgar Lungu says the PF will continue laying building blocks for the future, beyond August 12, 2021.

And President Lungu argued with Chinese Ambassador Li Jie over the new terminal’s capacity arguing that it will hold four million passengers yearly as opposed to the three million earlier mentioned by the Ambassador.

Sounding a confident tone during the commissioning of the new terminal building at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, President Lungu said Rome was not built in one day, therefore the PF would continue laying the foundations, discounting the fact that the country would be holding an election in three days.

He said there were those who did not see anything good in what the PF did, saying however, that if they coincidentally spoke sense the government would listen, but “if they say nonsense we will just ignore them.”

President Lungu insisted that cadres were part of his office, as without them he would not be in power, but urged them against engaging in violence.

He said the hackings experienced in the last few days cannot be allowed to happen, and that all the culprits must be booked and prosecuted.

When acknowledging the dignitaries present, President Lungu said Chief Chikankata from “my favorite Dundumwezi constituency is also here.”

However, the event went without giving an opportunity to chieftainess Nkomesha of the Soli people of Chongwe district, whose chiefdom hosts the Airport, to give her remarks on the matter. The President and the chieftainess were seen engaged in a conversation after the event.
