PF central committee member Paul Moonga has charged that Jean Kapata and Nkandu Luo are behaving like young girls in the streets, and that Sylvia Chalikosa is falling prey to their category, saying they all need deliverance and alangizi.
And Moonga said “Ba Nkandu Luo banachita expire” as “u Professor wao niwakudala”, saying she must not think she knows it all.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Moonga pinned the blame on Luo and Jean Kapata as the ones who were spearheading insults, saying he was saddened that Sylvia Chalikosa was “falling prey to their category”
“Kambwili has never insulted anywhere please don’t say ba Kambwili. Mumbi Phiri she has not insulted anywhere. Those who are insulting they are childish, bafunika ba langizi,” Moonga said in apparent reference to Prof Luo, Kapata and Chalikosa. “All those who are insulting bafunika ba langizi (they need traditional counselors). They need deliverance. They should be taken to some Roman Catholic priest or some Pentecostal pastor for deliverance.”
Asked on the argument from Prof Luo that Kapata reacted in the manner she did when she said chika***a to Chishimba Kambwili and his supporter Kelvin Mwaba, because she was provoked, Moonga said at the level the ladies were they are supposed to be humble and have a thick skin, saying he too had been insulted before.
“Yes one time I reacted to my brother (Harry) Kalaba. He talked about my dental, my teeth how they look like in front of me. He provoked me but also my reaction wasn’t insults…I didn’t insult him. I said he looks like vinkubala (caterpillar) but there were no insults. He talked about the dental of my teeth so my reaction is also to talk about how he looks, without insulting him,” Moonga said. “But those are serious insults. You can’t go at this age ati chik**a chobe and so forth. You can’t talk about the parts of a human being. You can’t, you need serious deliverance. Anybody doing that he has got a demon. He or she has a demon. And that demon must be casted in Church. I will never ever insult anybody.”
Still on Kapata’s insults, and the justification from Prof Luo and Chalikosa who said malumbo, Moonga insisted that “these are women who are supposed to be at balangizi. Unfortunately they are behaving like small girls in the streets. There is no malumbo with insults. Professor Nkandu Luo she’s quite old in the 70s now. She must be the custodian of the traditional norms to teach young people…Chalikosa she’s a humble woman she must not be falling prey with this category of insults. I know Chalikosa she must not be taken away by people who feel malumbo.”
Moonga continued.
“Prof Nkandu Luo she has her own character, and because she is a Prof she thinks she knows everything. Unfortunately no. The world is made of different fields. You may be a Professor in making water, someone will be a Prof in making beer. So the world is made of different categories of people. I am an agronomist, a qualified agronomist but I am not the best. And the world has changed I am no longer practicing. My first born son who is an agronomist now, Steward Moonga he’s more advanced in the same course I did. He now teaches me,” said Moonga. “Professor Luo banachita expire, nibakudala baja. There are new Professors in the same field. There are new young boys and girls, they are too intelligent you cannot match them. For Paul Moonga, 64 years to compete with a boy who is at 30 years old, same course you think you know it all. You are a liar. There are young boys and girls highly advanced. There are boys now even in Grade 7, Grade 8 who understand how they learn things now. Small kids they understand issues than even us old adults…so for you to be running around oh ‘I am a Professor!’ Vinasila. You are no longer practicing.”
