South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the situation in Africa remains dire where even the smallest glimmers of hope of the opposition winning has proven disappointing, citing President Hakainde Hichilema as one of those who has surrendered his country to parasitic multilateral institutions.
In a video address, Malema also took aim at new Kenyan President William Ruto, whom he said attended the funeral of the head of the British monarchy “Elizabeth” and paid respect and tribute to an institution which committed genocide against the anti-colonial Mau Mau rebels in Kenya.
“In Zambia we have seen the newly elected President surrendering the country to the mercy of the World Bank and its concessional loans, one that amounts to $275 million, further entrenching African dependency on the parasitic institutions which dictate economic policy in the country,” said Malema, saying a new pos- liberation generation of leaders on the continent has proven reactional rather than revolutionary.
He further said that EFF’s position on the Russia-Ukraine war remains the same and that all must condemn “the terrorist organization known as NATO as it consolidates itself to further arm Ukraine and encroach on the security of Russia.”
